Beachfront Fonte da Telha

The Beachfront Surfcamp is located in Fonte da Telha, a small fishing village only 30 minutes away from Lisbon. Only one street leads down to the village, which sits right on the beach. Here, you can find a wide, golden beach that invites you to take long walks, enjoy relaxed beach days, and savor a sunset drink at one of the restaurants while watching the fishing boats return.

Fonte da Telha beach is well-known among locals and can be quite busy during the main season, offering you an insight into Portuguese culture.

he cozy and contemporary double rooms are spacious, furnished with stylish wooden furniture, and come with a private bathroom. The elegantly designed bathroom features a rainfall shower and fresh towels at your disposal.

There are a total of six rooms. Each room has a private bathroom and provides ample comfort, privacy, and storage space. Towels, beach towels, as well as shampoo and shower gel are provided in your room, giving you more room in your luggage for your surf and swimwear.

We offer bedsheets and shower towels for every room, the common areas get cleaned every day.

The surf lessons start right from the house, providing you with a fully immersive experience. We offer customized courses tailored to your needs, ensuring that you have the perfect waves suited to your skill level. Throughout your stay, we adapt and support you, helping you feel more comfortable in the ocean. From mastering take-offs to riding and catching waves, and refining your technique, we analyze every aspect to ensure your progress.

If you prefer to explore on your own and feel confident, we also offer equipment rentals. And if you’re looking to challenge yourself or try something new, you can join our single-day classes. It’s all about the experience and building a connection with the sea.

Choose from group or private lessons for all skill levels, and benefit from surf theory sessions and video feedback. Our surf spot caters to all levels, and we have a variety of surfboards available for your use.

How we help you

THEORY LESSON

As a first step in your surf experience, it is important to understand the ocean and the theory of surfing. We will explain how to read the ocean and waves, how good surf conditions are created, and the basics of different surf spots and surfboards.

WINE TASTING

Once a week, we offer you a wine tasting experience featuring a variety of Portuguese wines and insights into the wine culture in Portugal. Accompanied by a selection of local snacks such as cheese, bread, olives, etc., the wine tasting serves as a delightful start for a fun evening.

SURF TRIPS

If you don’t have a car but want to check out some more surf spots further up the coast, like Peniche or Ericeira, we also offer the option to drive you there. Feel free to ask the team.

YOGA

Yoga is the perfect activity to improve your surfing skills. It works your core, improves flexibility, develops a sense of balance, and gives you control over your breathing – all of which are vital to becoming a great surfer.

Yoga will also loosen muscles that have been vigorously worked during the day’s paddling and prepare you for the next day.

The classes are held on the beach or on our sun terrace, mostly in the morning or evening. During the day, it can be too hot, so it’s better to spend that time in the ocean.
The class with a qualified yoga teacher costs €10 and requires a minimum of 3 participants.
We include 3 yoga sessions during your weekly stay. Every additional session will cost €10 per person.

DAY TRIPS

Lisbon

The team can arrange and organize trips to Lisbon every week, which are included for all guests, so you and your new surf buddies can go party, eat, or shop in the Portuguese capital. The city has some of the best restaurants, nightclubs, and bars in the world but is also rich in history and has an abundance of monuments to explore.

DAILY BREAKFAST BUFFET INCLUDED

At Beachfront Fonte da Telha, we offer a delicious daily breakfast organized by the crew.

The team prides itself on getting your day started right by sourcing a large variety of the freshest organic ingredients that are locally produced. Every day, you’ll be greeted with fresh fruit, muesli, fresh bread, cold cuts, and cheese, as well as freshly brewed coffee or tea. Juice and water are also available in the mornings. We also provide great vegan options for breakfast to ensure that everyone finds tasty food. You can enjoy breakfast either inside in the dining area or out on the terrace in the morning sun.

DINNER CAN BE BOOKED ADDITIONALLY

Three times a week, the Beachfront crew prepares a spectacular meal using local seasonal ingredients. The menu changes weekly, but it always includes two evenings where the BBQ is fired up, and the grill master grills great marinated meat, fish, and vegetables. Once a week, we have a couple of friends passing by who offer the best pizza on the coast of Caparica. We also offer a variety of vegan options for dinner. We highly recommend this option as it takes the stress out of searching for a place to eat after a long day of surfing and costs only €15 per meal.

If you prefer other options, along the beach of Fonte da Telha, you will find plenty of great cafes and restaurants that serve local and international meals. There are some fantastic spots that serve some of the freshest seafood you are likely to find.
